BRENHAM CUBS AND CUBETTES CONTINUE DISTRICT ACTION THIS EVENING

The Brenham Cub Baseball Team (16-10) will be looking to get back on the winning track tonight (Friday) as they travel to Magnolia West for a district game.

The Mustangs (19-3), snapped the Cubs' three game winning streak this past Tuesday.

Magnolia West, who is 8-1 in district, has a one game lead over Lake Creek and A&M Consolidated, who are tied for second with 7-2 records. Brenham is tied with Magnolia for sixth place in the district (both are 3-6). However, they are both only one game behind College Station and Montgomery, who are tied for the fourth playoff spot (both are 4-5).

First pitch is scheduled for 7pm. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:35pm.

Meanwhile, the Brenham Cubettes (22-8) are on the road at Montgomery (9-20) and looking to clinch a playoff spot this (Friday) evening.

If Brenham defeats Montgomery, and Magnolia West loses to College Station, the Cubettes will clinch a playoff spot.

Lake Creek leads the district with an 11-0 record. College Station is second with an 8-3 record. Brenham and Magnolia are tied for third with 7-4 records.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.
