TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Two people were arrested Wednesday in separate incidents on marijuana charges.

Brenham Police report that Wednesday morning at 11:55, Corporal Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 800 block of Highway 290 East. An investigation was conducted and the passenger Elizbeth Moranda Castaneda, 26 of Houston, was taken in custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Then, Wednesday night at 10:10, Officers responded to a business located in the 2200 block of highway 290 East in reference to a subject refusing to leave when instructed to do so by the property manager. Officers located and identified the subject, who was sitting inside a vehicle. Marijuana was located during a probable cause search of the vehicle. Gabriella Aleman Pompa, 18 of Live Oak, Texas, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
