MILTON TATE HONORED AT APPRECIATION RECEPTION

The Brenham community came out Wednesday to honor and congratulate longtime mayor Milton Tate.
An appreciation reception was held in Morriss Hall at The Barnhill Center to recognize Tate and his nearly 20 years of service as the city’s mayor.
Tate did not run for re-election this spring after holding office since September 2003.
Tate’s successor, Atwood Kenjura, will be sworn in when the council meets today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
