SLAVNOST “MAY FEST” COMING TO LA GRANGE

  

The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Event Center in La Grange is holding their annual Slavnost “May Fest” this Sunday.

The event is sponsored by the La Grange Main Street and Visitors Bureau, and they are planning a day of fun for whole family.

It all starts at 10:30am with a tribute to Czech Immigrants to Texas, which will include immigrant Wall Stone recognitions, and wreath laying.

A fried chicken meal will be served starting at 11:30am.  Tickets are $12 per person, which includes the meal and all events.

The Donnie Wavra and Friends Orchestra are going to provide live music from 11:30am-4pm.

There are also going to be booths by Czech founded organizations.  Other activities include Czech Village and Museum tours, a May Pole Dance, a Classic Car Show, children’s activities, a drawing, as well as a gift shop, a pastry shop, and a country store.

The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center is located at 250 West Fairgrounds Road in La Grange.
