SHINER CATHOLIC CHURCH TO HOLD 37TH ANNUAL PICNIC
The Shiner Catholic Church is inviting the public to their 37th Annual Spring Picnic this weekend at the KC Park.
The weekend will start off with a Pre-Picnic motorcycle run on Saturday. They will have registration from 11am to noon.
The official picnic opens on Sunday morning with a country store at 8am featuring canned and baked goods, plus kolaches and pigs-in-a-blanket.
Lunch will be served starting at 10:30am featuring three different choices: picnic stew, fried chicken, or country sausage and the trimmings.
Drive thru plates to go are $15 each, and are available until 12:30pm or sold out at the Kaspar Pavilion in Green Dickson Park.
Dine-In plates are $12 each, and being served in the air-conditioned dining room until 2pm.
There will be live music and dancing in the air-conditioned hall featuring the Rusty Steins from 11am-2pm, the Shiner Hobo Band from 2-4pm, and Mark Halata and Texavia from 4-7pm.
The picnic is also going to have outdoor music from Das Ist Lustig from 10:30am-12:30pm, 10-year-old rising star Michael Dutka from 12:30-2pm, The Blue Denim Band from 2-4:30pm, Stephanie Ross and the Southern Drive Band from 4:30-7pm, and the Chris Rybak Band from 7-10:30pm.
The musical entertainment concludes with a dance from 9pm-midnight for adults ages 21 and over featuring the Emotions.
Other activities at the picnic include: a big country auction, bingo, a grocery wheel, a washer tournament, a drawing, a petting zoo, and plenty of fun for the whole family.
