GIDDINGS SPLASH PAD TO OPEN ON MONDAY
The City of Giddings will be opening their new Splash Pad this Monday on Memorial Day.
The Splash Pad is located at Veterans Park. It is a 40 feet by 58 feet area that features 25 water sprayers of assorted sizes and shapes.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony begins Monday at 1pm at the tennis courts.
The Giddings Splash Pad was made possible by a pair of $150,000 grants, one by Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the other by Texas Disposal Systems.
As a special treat for the local youth, snow cones are also being served for Opening Day.
