WASHINGTON COUNTY TO HIRE ARCHITECT FOR EMS STATION #6 PROJECT

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court will discuss hiring an architect service for the EMS Station #6 project at Lake Somerville during their next meeting on Tuesday morning.

An agreement is going to be put before the commissioners with Charles Keese of Keese & Associates in Brenham.

If approved, Keese would do the design work for the 6,000 square foot EMS Station #6 facility to be located at Overlook Park at Lake Somerville. The facility will include 4,000 square feet for living and work areas, plus 2,000 square feet of bay area.

The project is being paid for with American Rescue Plan Act funds.

Other items on the agenda for Tuesday include:

A presentation of a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association to Washington County

Accepting a payment of $171,000 from Magnolia Oil and Gas Operating LLC for road repairs in Precinct Four

Declaring a 1999 Ford pickup at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to be surplus equipment and putting it up for sale at auction

And approving the 2023 Independence 4th of July Parade permit application.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets in Special Session Tuesday at 9am in their Chambers at the Washington County Courthouse.
