The queen of the 71st Annual Grimes County Fair was crowned during kickoff ceremonies Saturday night.
Brooklyn Byars was named Grimes County Fair Queen. First runner up was Sierra Waneck, while second runner up was Taylor Stone.
Other members of the fair queen court were Mary Womack and Leslee Soto.
Livestock judging is being held this week leading up to Thursday’s buyer’s social and supper at 5:30 p.m., accompanied by award and scholarship presentations. The premium sale is at 6:30 p.m.
