TASK FORCE MAKES THREE DRUG ARRESTS IN COLUMBUS
An ongoing investigation by the Westside Narcotics Task Force led to the arrest of three people.
The Task Force (which serves Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Waller counties) received reports of narcotics allegedly being distributed from residences located in the 900 Block of Fannin Street and the 400 Block of Malleck Street in Columbus.
Members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team, and the Texas DPS Special Response Team executed arrest and search warrants on both locations this past Friday at 6am.
The search led to seizure of crystal meth, crack cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, firearms, and United States currency.
Officers arrested 62-year-old Rovin Denley, 44-year-old Darrel King, and 44-year-old April Mingetti. All three were taken into custody without incident.
Denley and King were charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Mingetti was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1-4 grams.
The Colorado County Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, and K-9 Units from the Waller County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the warrant operation.
