TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED ON WARRANTS WEDNESDAY

  

Two people were arrested on warrants in separate incidents Wednesday.

Brenham Police report that at 7:25 Wednesday morning, Officer Stetson Whitley observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 290 East displaying no front license plate. The driver, Mahmoud Mashnour Hasan Qerba, 27 of Houston, was found to have three warrants out of Washington County for Driving While License Invalid, Possession of Marijuana, and Tampering with a Government Record. The driver was taken into custody and marijuana was located during an inventory of the vehicle. Qerba was additionally charged with Possession of marijuana less than 2 oz.   

Then Wednesday morning at 8:00, Officer Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Independence Street and Travis Street. The driver, Xaviernique Leontaye Fantroy, 27 of Brenham, was found to have active warrants out of the City of Brenham for traffic violations. She was placed into custody for the warrants and additionally charged with expired registration.
