FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKE OVERNIGHT ARRESTS
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office made a pair of arrests during the overnight hours.
Sgt. Ryan Meagher was dispatched to the intersection FM 2503 and Ross Prairie Church Road near Fayetteville last (Thursday) night at 11:45pm.
Upon arriving at the scene, Sgt. Meagher discovered a pickup truck parked in the middle of the roadway with no lights on.
The driver, 33-year-old Michael Cuevas of Columbus, was found to be intoxicated and asleep inside the truck.
Cuevas was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.
Deputy Austin Moore made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Flatonia area at 2:20am this (Friday) morning.
While speaking with the driver, 38-year-old Tarah Hamilton of San Marcos, Deputy Moore said that he observed narcotics in plain view inside the vehicle.
Moore conducted a probable cause search, which led to the discovery of methamphetamine, heroin, ecstasy, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and numerous stolen washed checks.
Hamilton was arrested without incident and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
