MCCAUL ANNOUNCES 2023 CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE

U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul is inviting students in his district to take part in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge.
The Congressional App Challenge is an annual competition that encourages students to learn how to code by creating their own app.
The App Challenge is open to middle and high school students in Texas’ 10th Congressional District through November 1.
Students made code on any platform, on any topic, in any coding language, and in teams of up to four people.
Each app is graded on creativity, concept, and design.
The winning app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol and on House.gov, and winning students will be invited to a reception in Washington D.C.
McCaul said that Texas’ 10th District is already a vibrant hub for technology and innovation, and it’s his hope that the contest will further inspire the next generation of computer scientists.
McCaul added that in today’s rapidly developing world, the art of computer coding is more important than ever, and he looks forward to seeing the submissions from the students.
The Texas 10th Congressional District is made up of Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette, Grimes, Lee, Madison, Waller, and Washington counties. It also encompasses parts of Bastrop, Travis, and Williamson counties.
