TWO ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidences Saturday on Marijuana Charges.

Brenham Police report that Saturday morning at 8:15, Officer Bryan Morong initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling near in the 1000 block of Highway 290 West for a traffic violation. Marijuana was located inside the vehicle during a probable cause search. The driver, Markale Malik Atkinson Thompson, 20 of Manor, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Then Saturday evening at 7:20, Corporal Crystal Buckner initiated a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Highway 290 West. Marijuana was located in the vehicle’s glove compartment during a probable cause search. The front seat passenger, Selwyn Q Dunmore, 31 of Austin, was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
