BELLVILLE ISD PARTNERING WITH BLINN, MIDCOAST MEDICAL CENTER TO OFFER ACADEMIC PATHWAY PROGRAM

This upcoming school year, Bellville ISD will offer a new academic pathway allowing students to attain an associate degree in conjunction with their high school diploma.

Bellville Collegiate, Bellville ISD’s new P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) model school, opens this fall for the first class of ninth graders at Bellville High School.

The school district is partnering with Blinn College and MidCoast Medical Center Bellville to offer students the opportunity to – at no cost – pursue a pathway in healthcare through a learning environment that blends high school and the first two years of college.

The first cohort of students at Bellville Collegiate will be pursuing Blinn’s recently announced Associate of Science in Health Sciences-Nursing degree

Last week, incoming ninth graders met to learn more about the program and prepare for their first slate of classes in the fall.

Bellville ISD says it is “incredibly excited about this opportunity for our students.”
