TxDOT RECEIVING PUBLIC INPUT ON 2024 10-YEAR TRANSPORTATION PLAN
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) invites feedback on its draft 10-year transportation plan.
The proposed 2024 Unified Transportation Program (UTP) identifies approximately $100 billion in infrastructure improvements over the next decade, $15 billion more than last year’s plan. The document guides the development of highway projects and addresses public transportation, maritime, aviation, rail, freight and international trade, and bicycle and pedestrian connectivity.
The public comment period for the draft plan is now open through Monday, August 7th at 4 p.m. Comments can be submitted via an online form, email, regular mail or phone call.
There is also a virtual public hearing on Tuesday, July 25th at 2 p.m. Residents can join the public hearing virtually and by phone.
The Texas Transportation Commission approves the UTP annually in accordance with Texas state law, and TxDOT publishes the approved UTP each year.
