BURLESON CO. LOOKING TO CREATE COUNTYWIDE VOTING CENTERS
Burleson County is attempting to establish countywide voting centers.
County commissioners on Monday approved a resolution of support for an application to the Texas Secretary of State, asking for approval of countywide election vote centers to be used on Election Day.
Through this method, voters in the county would not be restricted to a polling location based on where they live, and would instead be allowed to cast their ballot at any designated polling place.
The application to the state is the final step in the process for the county, which could start using the new voting system as soon as this November if it is approved. However, approval is not a certainty.
