MAN ARRESTED ON DWI CHARGE

A Brenham man was arrested Monday night on a DWI charge.
Brenham Police report that Monday night at 11:30, Officer Lauren Vieceli conducted a traffic stop at the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street. The driver, Gianni A. Contreras, 31 of Brenham, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated while having an open container in the vehicle. Contreras was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container. Additionally, Contreras was found to have two active warrants for Driving While License Invalid.
