BLINN’S NEW VICE CHANCELLOR FOR BUSINESS & FINANCE BEGINS SERVICE

  

Blinn College welcomes its new Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance.

Dr. Clen Burton’s first day with Blinn was August 1^st.  Dr. Burton has nearly 20 years of experience in financial management, including previous roles as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration for River Parishes Community College in Louisiana, Chief Financial Officer for Lone Star Legal Aid, and most recently the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs at the College of the Mainland in Texas City.

Dr. Burton fills the role formerly held by Richard Cervantes, who has rejoined the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology as its Vice President for Administration and Finance.  That is the same position Cervantes held there prior to coming to Blinn in 2017. 

Dr. Burton's salary is $210,000.
