LADY PANTHERS WIN COPPER BRACKET AT WESTWOOD TOURNAMENT

The Burton Lady Panthers finished the Warrior Showcase on a four-game winning streak including sweeping their three matches on Saturday to win the tournament’s Copper Bracket Championship.

Burton swept Harker Heights  25-22 and 25-23.  Amaya Williams, Aerynn Huntsman, and Kinsey Lunbeck had four kills each.  Huntsman also added 18 digs. Kelsie Hohlt added 13 digs, while Reagan Roemer had 11 digs.  Paige Fritsch dished out 16 assists.

The Lady Panthers then beat TMI Episcopal 25-17 and 25-14.  Huntsman had 8 kills.  Fritsch had 9 digs and 16 assists.  Meanwhile, Roemer had 8 digs, and Williams had 7 digs. 

Burton wrapped up the day by beating the Liberty Hill JV 26-24 and 25-18. Williams had 10 kills and 11 digs. Huntsman finished with 15 digs.  Fritsch had 20 assists.

The Lady Panthers are now 5-5 on the season.  They’ll be at Iola tomorrow (Tuesday).
