WARRANT ARREST MADE ON TWO BRENHAM MEN

Two Brenham men were arrested Tuesday in separate incidences on outstanding warrants.

Brenham Police report that Tuesday afternoon at 12:50, Officers responded to an address located in the 200 block of Lockett Street to serve a warrant. The current resident informed officers that the person they were looking for no longer lived at the address. A few minutes later the wanted person, Alvin Ragston, 60 of Brenham, called the police department and agreed to meet with officers at a different location. Ragston met with officers in person and he was explained the reason they were looking for him. Ragston was placed into custody for the warrant, Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .15, issued out of Washington County Court at Law and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Tuesday night at 9:30, Officer Grayson Marburger conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of South Austin Street and West First Street. The driver, Terrell Duane Nickerson Jr., 24 of Brenham, was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Navasota Police Department for Evading Arrest or Detention.  Nickerson was placed under arrest and released to the Navasota Police Department.
