BLINN-BRENHAM CAMPUS TO BEGIN COLLEGE AVENUE REALIGNMENT MONDAY
As Blinn College students prepare to start the fall semester next week, a several-month-long road construction project will get underway on the Brenham Campus.
Starting on Monday, Blinn will begin construction to realign two blocks of College Avenue between Green Street and Prairie Lea Street. The College says this is to improve accessibility, safety and overall aesthetics.
During the construction period, traffic may be reduced to one lane. Tucker Construction will provide traffic control personnel and flaggers at various points along the affected route to ensure the safe flow of traffic and minimize disruptions.
The street and sidewalk realignment project is expected to continue until April 2024. Drivers are asked to exercise caution, adhere to construction work zone signs, and follow the guidance of personnel on-site.
Blinn’s fall semester begins on Wednesday.
