CUBS OUTDUEL CY PARK IN THURSDAY NIGHT SCRIMMAGE

The Brenham Cub Football Team had a successful scrimmage on Thursday night at Cy Park High School. The Cubs put up three touchdowns in the game and gave up just one on defense to the Class 6A Tigers.

Brenham would score on a one yard touchdown run by junior quarterback Jordan Harvey.

Harvey later found Deontae Martin on a fade route that went for a 40 yard touchdown pass. He would then find Chris Guidry on a 25 yard touchdown strike as well.

The defense kept Cy Park in check for most of the night.

Head Coach Danny Youngs gave his overall assessment of the first scrimmage.

The Cubs open up the season next Friday, August 25, against Oakridge. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm at Cub Stadium in Brenham. KWHI will broadcast the game live beginning with the pregame at 7pm on 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.
