TWO ARRESTED FRIDAY FOR POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidences Friday for possession of marijuana.

Brenham Police report that Friday evening at 8:35, Officer Stephen Mosley conducted a traffic stop at the 1100 block of South Austin Street. Marijuana was located inside the vehicle during a search. The driver, Elijah Watson Jr., 45 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then early Saturday at 1:55, Officer Bryan Morong conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Highway 290 West. Marijuana was located inside the vehicle during a search. The driver, Jamarcus Lamonte McGruder, 24 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.  A warrant check revealed McGruder to have an active warrant for his arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. issued out of Washington County Court at Law. McGruder was transported to the Washington County Jail.
