FAYETTE CO. FAIR UNDERWAY THURSDAY

  

Today (Thursday) marks the start of the 96th Annual Fayette County Fair.

The Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange will host a variety of activities through Sunday, such as livestock shows, live music, a carnival, kids’ activities and a queen’s pageant.

Opening ceremonies for the fair begin at 6:15 p.m., and the queen’s scholarship pageant will be held at 7 p.m.  Music will be provided by Hank Williams IV and the Lost Highway Band. 

Tomorrow’s (Friday) events include mutton bustin’ and entertainment from Just Us with Jason Marek, DJ Superman, Shiner’s 2nd Wind and La Lexxion.

On Saturday, a parade will ride through downtown La Grange at 10:30 a.m.  There will also be a petting zoo and clowns.  The night’s entertainment will feature Southbound 955, Drew Baldridge and Kyle Park.

Sunday will wrap up the fair with another clown show and music from Darrel Appelt, the Tracy and Resendis Band and Pam Tillis.  Due to COVID, Pryor Baird will be unable to perform; in his place, the Drew Fish Band will take the stage.
