TWO CALLS WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to calls at two local businesses on Wednesday.

Units were called out after 9:15 a.m. to Longwood Elastomers, 1901 Longwood Drive, for a fire alarm.  When they arrived, they found a malfunction in the alarm system.  The maintenance team called an alarm company.

Then after 2:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a gas odor at Citizens State Bank, 2007 South Day Street.  The department found the leak was by the road and caused by a construction company.  Units waited for the city gas department to make location before clearing the scene.
