FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED FRIDAY

Four people were arrested Friday by Brenham Police.

They report that Friday afternoon at 2:00, Officer Bryan Morong initiated a traffic stop near the 3000 block of Highway 290 West for a traffic violation. Investigation revealed driver, Phoenix Nnamdi Chukwu, 28 of Houston, to have an active warrant for Motion to Revoke Probation out of Hays County. Chukwu was placed under arrest and transported to Washington County Jail.

Then Friday afternoon at 5:30, Officers responded to the Washington County Jail located at 1206 Old Independence Road in reference to a warrant service. Jaelynn Renee Smith, 23 of Missouri City, was served with active warrant issued out of the City of Brenham Municipal Court.

Then Friday night at 11:00, Officer Lauren Vieceli and Corporal Armando Guerra conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of South Jackson Street and West Lubbock Street. Marijuana and THC vape pens were found inside the vehicle during a probable cause search. The driver, Torris Latyde Preston Jr., 18 of Houston, and passenger Kiondrick Semaj Robinson, 18 of Fort Worth, were both placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, and Possession of Controlled Substance. Preston was additionally charge for Possession of Tobacco by a Minor. Both were transported to the Washington County Jail.
