WARRANT ARRESTS MADE ON TWO PEOPLE

  

Two people were arrested for outstanding warrants in separate incidents Wednesday.

Brenham Police report that Wednesday morning at 10:00, Officer Bryan Morong initiated a traffic stop near the 500 block of East Academy Street. The driver, Sterling Thompson III, 30 of Brenham, was discovered to have two local warrants for his arrest for No Driver’s License and Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Thompson was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.  

Then Wednesday morning at 11:35, Officer Stephen Mosley conducted a traffic stop at the 1000 block of North Park Street. The driver, Markesha Rochelle Powell, 38 of Somerville, was discovered to have three local warrants for her arrest; Parked in a Handicap Zone, Driving While License Invalid, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Powell was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
