NEW MEXICO MAN ARRESTED IN SEALY BY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE
A New Mexico man found himself behind bars on Monday after being arrested by Austin County Sheriff’s Office Investigators that are currently assigned to the Westside Narcotics Task Force.
Investigators stopped a vehicle being driven by Cody Greer for a traffic violation on I-10 at the 718 Eastbound Mile Marker near Sealy.
A search of Greer’s vehicle led to the seizure of illegal narcotics, a large amount of United States currency, and a firearm.
Update @ 10 a.m. Thursday: The sheriff's office reported that marijuana, THC cartridges and THC gummies, mushrooms and ecstasy were seized.
Greer was arrested without incident and transported to the Austin County Jail in Bellville.
He was charged with three counts of Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
A further investigation into the case is ongoing.
The Westside Narcotics Task Force is made up investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville Police, Sealy Police, Hempstead Police, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and the DEA.
