The annual initiative to get neighbors and public safety agencies to meet one another is set for Tuesday, October 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m.

This year’s theme will let participants wear their gameday gear and bring out all of their best tailgate options in support of their favorite sports teams.

Anyone interested in registering a block party inside Brenham city limits can contact Brenham Police Sergeant Steven Eilert at 979-337-7326.  For block parties outside of city limits, contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 979-277-6251.

All registered party information will be shared with the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County EMS.

Parties must be registered by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 29th to ensure they are on the list for attendance.

This year, the Brenham Police Department will also partner with Blinn College for a National Night Out party at the Blinn College Student Center parking lot at 107 Walter Schwartz Way.  The party is open to the public.

KWHI and KTEX-106 will be out and about at National Night Out block parties around the area.  If you would like us to stop by, call our office at 979-836-3655.
