TWO ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Two people were arrested on Marijuana charges Wednesday.

Brenham Police report that Wednesday morning at 11:20, Corporal Crystal Buckner conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Charles Lewis and South Jackson Street. Marijuana and a digital scale were found inside the vehicle during a search. The front seat passenger, Kayeviona Shonaye Ward, 18 of Houston, was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Then Wednesday evening at 8:30, Officer Lauren Vieceli conducted a traffic stop at the 1800 block of Highway 105. A probable cause search was conducted, and Marijuana was found inside the vehicle. The driver, Luis Manuel Ramirez, 47 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.
