FIVE PEOPLE ARRESTED SUNDAY

Five people were arrested by Brenham Police Sunday.

They report that early Sunday morning at 2:35, Officers responded to 1700 block of West Main Street in reference to a crash with entrapment. It was found Peyton Franklin, 18 of Burton, crashed into a residence and was extricated out of one of the windows. There were multiple open containers in the vehicle and Franklin exhibited signs of being intoxicated. Additionally, a THC vape pen was located in the vehicle. Franklin was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Then Sunday morning at 7:25, Officers were dispatched to an Intoxicated Person call in the 2000 Block of FM 389. The caller reported an intoxicated person was entering a vehicle and driving on FM 389. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle at which time the vehicle failed to stop traveling over 4 miles before stopping at a residence located in the 3000 block of Highway 290 West. The driver, Henry Noel Cruz, 32 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. Narcotics were found in his possession and he was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Cruz was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Sunday evening at 8:00, Officer Eric Crosby conducted a Foot Patrol in Fireman’s Park located in the 900 block of North Park Street. Officer Crosby made contact with a person known to have active warrants. Lisa Ann Taylor, 34 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for outstanding warrants; Unlawfully Carrying Weapon and Possession of a Control Substance. Taylor was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Sunday night at 10:15, Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 1100 block of Highway 290 West. Marijuana and a THC vape pen were located in the vehicle during a probable cause search. The driver, David Fuentes Guerrero, 21 of Houston, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 Oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 Then Sunday night at 10:35, Officer Le’Darion Jenkins conducted a traffic stop at the 1400 block of Highway 36 North. Marijuana, THC edibles, and a prescription pill were located in the vehicle during a probable cause search. The driver, Danielle Evette Legall, 22 of Houston, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz., Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
