BURTON LOOKING FOR THIRD WIN IN A ROW AT SNOOK

Tyrone Gilmon (Mark Whitehead)

The Burton Panther Football Team is hoping to even up their record on the season and at the same time, pick up their third straight district win.

Burton is coming off last week's 27-0 shutout victory over Louise. This week, the Panthers are traveling to Snook to take on the Blue Jays.

Burton is 3-4 overall, and 2-1 in district. After going 1-4 in non-district games, Burton opened district with a 28-20 loss to Falls City, but since then, they beat Yorktown and Louise on back to back weeks.

The Snook Bluejays are 1-5 overall and 1-1 in district. Snook's lone win on the season was a forfeit over Runge. Runge is forfeiting all their games due to not having enough players to field a team, and they are expected to drop down to six-man football next season.

The Bluejays are coming off a 20-14 overtime loss to Somerville last week.

According to Burton Coach Jason Hodde, Snook is much better than what their record indicates.

Kickoff is scheduled for tonight (Friday) at 7pm at Bluejay Stadium in Snook.
