BRENHAM PLANNING & ZONING TO MEET MONDAY

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will hear two replat requests at its meeting on Monday.

The first item comes from Karl T. and Frances Frederick, who are seeking to replat 0.366 acres of property at 1708 Church Street.  The property is developed with a single-family residence, with the remainder being vacant land.  The owners wish to replat the property and the portion of an abandoned alleyway into one lot in order to build a garage.

Next, the commission will hear from Continental Homes of Texas to replat six lots on the southwest corner of LeGrand Street and Burleson Street, which are proposed for development as single-family homes.  However, a retaining wall is necessary along the south property line of the lots, which total 0.966 acres.  The replat would reconfigure the lots to allow for the retaining wall to be within a new common area that would be maintained by the Homeowners Association.

City staff recommends approval of both requests.

The commission will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
