BRENHAM PLANNING & ZONING APPROVES REPLAT REQUESTS

  

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved two replat requests during its meeting Monday.

Firstly, commissioners approved an item from Karl T. and Frances Frederick, who sought to replat 0.366 acres of property at 1708 Church Street.  The property was platted as two lots, and the owners wished to build a garage and driveway on the second lot.  An accessory structure is not allowed on a lot without a residential dwelling, so the two lots are being replatted into one.

Next, the commission passed a request from Continental Homes of Texas to replat six lots totaling 0.966 acres on the southwest corner of LeGrand Street and Burleson Street, proposed for development as single-family homes.  The property is being replatted to create a common area for the placement of a retaining wall to be maintained by the Homeowners Association.
