BURTON PANTHERS TO OPEN PLAYOFFS AGAINST GRANGER

The Burton Panthers and the Granger Lions meet up again in the playoffs for a renewal of their rivalry.

The last time these two met was last season when Burton defeated Granger 27-7 to advance to the State Semifinals.

Burton is 6-4 on the season and finished second in District 14-2A Division II with a 5-1 record. The Panthers lost to Falls City in the first game of District, but then swept the remaining teams, and are on a five game winning streak (four on-field, and one due to Runge's forfeit). They are coming off a bye last week.

Granger is 8-2 on the season, and finished in a three way tie with Chilton and Bremond for the District 13-2A Division II Championship.

Due to tiebreakers, they ended up with the #3 seed. Granger has won three games in a row, and six of their last seven games. They are coming off a 54-26 win over Bartlett last week to close out their regular season.

Burton Head Coach Jason Hodde gave a scouting report on the Lions.
