WESTSIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS

Two men were arrested earlier this (Tuesday) morning following an ongoing narcotics investigation led by the Westside Narcotics Task Force.

Members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety Region 2 Special Response Team, executed arrest and search warrants shortly after 5am at two separate residences in Colorado County.

The residences were located in the 1000 block of County Road 255 and the 5000 block of 4th Street in Sheridan.

The Westside Narcotics Task Force had been investigating complaints of methamphetamines being sold from both residences.

44-year-old Rafael Herrera and 43-year-old Robert Sloan were arrested and charged with Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Both defendants were transported and booked into the Colorado County Jail in Columbus.

The Colorado County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado County Attorney’s Office participated in the investigation.

  1. Way to go residents and special task forces. I just hope our justice system does not fail as they do so many times.
