SIX PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY

Six people were arrested Saturday by Brenham Police.

They report that early Saturday morning at 5:30, Officers responded to the intersection of East Academy and North Market Streets for a report of an unattended vehicle in the roadway. The driver was located and identified as Darion Da Shaun Washington, 24 of Brenham. Washington was confirmed as having two warrants and placed under arrest. He was transported to Washington County Jail.

Then Saturday afternoon at 2:20, Officer Le’Darion Jenkins conducted a traffic stop at the 900 block of Cobble Gate Drive.  A probable cause search was conducted and found Denise Danielle Williams, 41 of Brenham, to be in possession of marijuana and a firearm. Williams was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and Unlawful Carrying a Weapon.

Then Saturday afternoon at 2:20, Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 500 block of Highway 290 West. During a probable cause search, methamphetamines were located in the vehicle. The driver, Christopher Spangle, 56 of Brenham, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The passenger Hubert McCall, 61 of Somerville, was taken into custody for multiple warrants and transported to the Burleson County Sheriff's Office.

Then Saturday night at 9:45, Corporal Jose Perez responded to 900 block of North Park Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that both parties on location had been in a physical altercation with each other.  Briasia Martin, 20 of Brenham, and G. Shaun Crosby, 22 of Brenham, were both placed in custody for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
