LEXINGTON CLINIC TO CLOSE DOORS AT THE END OF THE YEAR

The St. Joseph Medical Health Group has announced plans to close the St. Joseph and Texas A&M Health Primary Care Clinic in Lexington at the end of this year.

According to St. Joseph Medical Health Group Communications Manager Tracy Bates, the costs associated with operating and providing care have significantly increased.

However, the number of patient volumes and encounters have significantly decreased.

Bates said that St. Joseph’s can no longer financially support the Lexington clinic.

The last day for patients to be seen at the clinic is going to be December 28, and the facility will officially close its doors on December 31.

Patients who wish to remain in the St. Joseph’s and Texas A&M Health Network can find a new provider or location by calling St. Joseph’s Health Physician Finder Line at 979-774-2121, or going to www.st-joseph.org/find-a-doctor.

The two nearest facilities that are part of the group are currently located in Caldwell and College Station.
