FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED FRIDAY

Four people were arrested Friday by Brenham Police.

They report that Friday morning at 10:05, Corporal Tina Bruno conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The driver, Brijae Phillips, 30 of Bellville, showed to have six active warrants for traffic offenses and a Capias Pro Fine for Possession Marijuana less than 2 oz. Phillips was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Friday afternoon at 3:45, Officers responded to a business located in the 3600 block of Highway 36 South in reference to a welfare concern. The caller reported her daughter, Christy Willingham, 42 of League City, had taken her vehicle and was intoxicated. Officers located Christy, who was parked behind a business and discovered her to be highly intoxicated. She failed to comply to officer’s commands and was ultimately removed from the vehicle and placed in custody for Public Intoxication. During the arrest, she resisted officers and was additionally charged with Resist Arrest Search or Transport.

Then Friday night at 9:15, Officer Matthew Brown conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2000 block of Becker Drive.  The driver, Jose Enrique Cruz Rivas, 35 of Brenham, was found to have four local warrants for his arrest. Rivas was placed under arrest and was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in.

Then Friday night at 11:15, Officer Nicolas Conforti conducted a check of a suspicious vehicle in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West.  A probable cause search was conducted and the operator, Bonifacio Tomo, 36 of Richmond, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. He was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
