THREE CALLS BETWEEN TUESDAY, EARLY WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

A two-vehicle accident was one of three calls between Tuesday afternoon and early this (Wednesday) morning for the Brenham Fire Department.

Shortly after 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, the department was dispatched to Highway 290 East and South Chappell Hill Street for a report of a vehicle fire with entrapment at a wreck.  Units arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident with everyone out of their vehicle and no fire.  They used dry absorbent on the fluid spill and cleaned the roadway from debris before returning to service.

Prior to that call, firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding after 4:45 p.m. at H-E-B, 2508 South Day Street.  They arrived to find an alarm company on location that was already working on the system.

Around 3:45 a.m. today, units were dispatched to the Washington County EMS Station at 1875 Highway 290 West for an alarm sounding.  BFD members made location to silence the alarm and advised an employee to have an alarm company come check their system.
