TWO CALLS WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of calls on Wednesday.

At 8:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of East Alamo Street for a transportation incident.  Units arrived on location to discover a two-vehicle accident.  They checked for injuries, but no one was hurt.  Once the roadway was clear, they returned to service.

Shortly after noon, the department was called out to the 2600 block of Highway 36 South for a report of a vehicle leaking gas.  BFD members made location to find the vehicle gone and about five gallons of gas on the ground.  They used dry absorbent on the spill and returned to the station.
