SPECIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT UNITS MAKE ANOTHER EARLY MORNING DRUG BUST

The combined efforts of the Westside Narcotics Task Force, and the Austin County Regional Special Response Team led to another early morning drug arrest.
Members of the Westside Narcotics Task Force had been investigating complaints of illegal drugs being sold from several locations in Colorado County.
On Thursday morning at 5:15am, the Special Response Team executed a search warrant and an arrest warrant at a residence located in the 10,000 block of Highway 71 in Garwood.
During a search of the residence, authorities seized cocaine, methamphetamine, and United States currency.
59-year-old Bruce Montgomery was arrested and charged with Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division, and the Colorado County Attorney’s Office participated in the operation.
