BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO CONTINUE LAAS-WEEREN PARK DISCUSSIONS
The Burton City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday.
On the agenda for the council is the potential adoption of rules and regulations for Laas-Weeren Park.
Previous council discussion and action on the matter included the dissolution of the Burton Beautification and Compliance Committee (BBCC). This was in order to resolve issues between the committee and the Laas-Weeren Park Commission.
An attorney stated at the September 12th council meeting that the BBCC had been operating outside the scope outlined in a city resolution, and that no park commission had ever been created per the Laas-Weeren Park ordinance.
Councilmembers will also discuss revisions and updates to the city’s personnel policy.
The council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall.
