TWO ITEMS FOR BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MONDAY

  

The Brenham Board of Adjustment will take up two items at its meeting on Monday. 

Firstly, the board will consider a special exception request from Artis Edwards Sr. to allow a 9.28-foot west side yard setback, where the minimum is 10 feet, for construction of a single-family residence at 1310 Bridge Street. 

The board will then hear variance requests from Craig and Theresa Norman to allow an east side yard setback of 5 feet, where 10 feet is required, and to permit a 2-foot rear yard setback, where 25 feet is the norm.  The variances are so the existing dilapidated garage at 413 West Main Street can be replaced with a new brick garage that meets current building and fire codes.

City staff recommends approval of both requests. 

The board will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
