CUBETTES USE 4TH QUARTER RALLY TO BEAT A&M CONSOLIDATED
The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team picked up their first district win last (Tuesday) night with a 34-33 victory over the A&M Consolidated Lady Tigers at the Brenham High School Gym.
Consol led the game 13-6 after the first quarter.
Brenham outscored them 8-5 in the second quarter to cut the lead to 18-14 at halftime.
The Lady Tigers outscored Brenham 12-10 in the third quarter. That put Consol up 30-24 going into the fourth quarter.
The Cubettes, then came back and won the fourth quarter 10-3, and took the game.
Antiyahna Lang led the way with nine points. Janiyah Mathis added eight points. Meanwhile, Jayde Powell finished with six points, and Halle Scheel had five points.
With the win, the Cubettes are now 11-8 on the season and 1-1 in district. Next up, they will travel to Rudder on Friday night for a 6:30pm game.
