HARMEL NOMINATED FOR CLIFF HARRIS AWARD

Former Burton Panther and current Trinity University Tiger Caleb Harmel has been named as one of six finalists for the Cliff Harris Award. 

The award goes each year to the Outstanding Defensive Player in NCAA Division III Football. 

Harmel led Trinity this past season with 75 tackles, 3 interceptions, 15 tackles for loss, and five sacks. 

Harmel has also been recognized this season as the Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year, and for the third time in his college career was named an NCAA Division III All-American.

Trinity finished the season with a 10-2 overall record, winning its fourth SAA Championship in the last five years with a perfect 7-0 record.

The Tigers also advanced to the NCAA III Playoffs for the third consecutive year.
