TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY

  

Two People were arrested by Brenham Police Saturday.

They report that Saturday morning at 9:05, Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 1300 block Prairie Lea Street. A probable cause search revealed marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver Brandon Barnett, 33 of Austin, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana between 4 oz. and 5 LBS.

Then Saturday afternoon at 4:55, Officers responded to the 1700 block of East Stone Street for a report of an assault. Investigation led to the arrest of Mary Garrett, 60 of Brenham, for INJURY CHILD, ELDERLY, or DISABLE person with the intent to cause bodily injury.  She was booked into the Washington County Jail.
