LAGRANGE NATIVE RECOGNIZED BY TEXAS HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION

  

La Grange native Lucas Friedel has been recognized by the Texas Hospital Association as one of its 12 Health Care Heroes for 2023. 

Friedel heads up the Respiratory Therapy Department at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas.

Under his guidance, the Respiratory Therapy Department alongside ICU nurses at the hospital have gone the past two years without a single case of Ventilator Acquired Pneumonia, which the THA says is a testament to their unwavering commitment to patient care and safety.

Friedel’s team stated that their success is due to his precision and leadership along the way. 

Medical Center VP of Operations Crystal Brown said that Friedel and his staff’s dedication to preventing complications exemplifies their commitment to providing exceptional care and fostering better patient outcomes.

Friedel is a graduate of La Grange High School, and is married to Mindy Cernoch Friedel, who is originally from Schulenburg. The couple resides in Mansfield.
