TWO CALLS MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of calls on Monday.
At 5:45 p.m., the department was called to the 3000 block of Jasmine Street for a report of a grass fire. Upon arrival, units found it was a controlled burn and returned to service.
Shortly after 7:15 p.m., firefighters went out to Blue Bell Creameries, 1101 South Blue Bell Road, for a fire alarm. BFD members arrived and found the system was sounding due to a bad detector.
