TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED SUNDAY

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidences Sunday by the Brenham Police Department.

They report that early Sunday morning at 3:10, Corporal Tina Bruno checked located a suspicious vehicle in the 1800 block of Highway 105. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, a handgun, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. The occupant, Stephen Matthew Maurer, 42 of Brenham, was placed into custody for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Attempt, Possession Marijuana less than 2 oz., and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.

Then Sunday night at 10:55, Officer Lauren Vieceli was dispatched to 300 block of West Chauncy Street in reference to a disturbance. Initial investigation revealed Gerald Wayne Brown Jr., 27 of Brenham, assaulted another member of the household during an argument. Gerald was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant out of Grimes County and for Assault Family Violence. Brown was transported to the Washington County Jail.
